About Us

Ear, Nose, and Throat care (ENT) with various specialties is conducted at Sahlgrenska University Hospital's three hospital areas.

At Sahlgrenska Hospital and Östra Hospital, there are outpatient clinics for planned and emergency care. Inpatient care is located at Sahlgrenska Hospital, and day surgery is at Mölndal Hospital and Östra Hospital. ENT is a relatively small operation with about 130 employees and we have a high patient turnover, approximately 35,000 per year.

With us, nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, dietitians, speech therapists, anaplastologists, and medical secretaries work closely together. We work with patients of all ages, from emergency care to outpatient services for patients with head/neck cancer.

We have an unpretentious climate where we all help each other and share our knowledge for the best patient care.

What Can We Offer You?

We can offer a varied and qualified job for you as a nurse. We have emergency services, planned clinics (own clinic or in teams with other professions), telephone advice, and contact nurse assignments. We can also offer opportunities for research. At our clinic at Östra Hospital, assisting in outpatient surgery is also part of the job. You will work weekdays during the day.

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. Experience in ENT care is an advantage. To thrive with us, you should enjoy varied work, be confident in your professional role, and comfortable working with acutely ill patients. You value good interactions with both colleagues and patients.

Meet Some of Our Employees - Sahlgrenska University Hospital

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing guidance, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. Additionally, it includes service in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign qualifications/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish qualifications/specialist certificates.
